Remote Print to HP via Port Fwding

Specs: Macintosh
To print to your HP network printer via port forwarding,
do the following:
(1) Go to the port forwarding panel of your router's gui
(2) Forward port 80 to 80 with both selected to the
printer's ip address
(3) Forward port 9100 to 9100 with both selected to the
printer's ip address
(4) Add the printer normally using your ISP's ip as the
printer IP

Nobody where the printer was located needed http/internet access?

If you are in the field, how are you figuring out what your ip address is if its dynamic?

you obviously have to get a static ip for it to work properly

Not really. You could check the router before leaving for the day or thru remote logon.

And the question about pcs at the same location as the printer?
