rdp works only with ip for some computers

Specs: Windows XP
Hi,
When I try to access some computers via Remote Desktop, it doesn't work with name. It says "This computer can't connect to the remote computer". But if I type their ip address, it works fine.

Why is it so? Do I need to make some settings in the computers to make the name work?

It sounds like your DNS isn't updating properly.

Add the computer name & IP address. Keep Wanderer's point in mind.
