Raspberry Pi 2 Wi-Fi is sluggish.

Specs: Windows 10
If i've Pi 2 and streaming is sluggish with wifi adapter, does buying a more expensive adapter (dongle) will probably solve the problem?

The problem is that music files are getting stuck often with Openelec.

I saw one expensive Panda dongle and really wondering if i should invest in it or it will be the same.

The files are on my Windows machine.
The distance from the router is about six meters but the adapter needs to go through a wall made of these bricks common in Israel for construction.

Pretty lost.
Maybe I should test my adapter in the living room next to the router to get more insight about it.

A poor/weak signal will quite possibly cause slow and intermittent downloads. Each packet of information (file) has to be confirmed it arrived OK, and if the signal isn't decent enuff... then some packets may be lost..., and thus have to be resent? And all this resending takes time...

Solid walls will affect a signal - depending on the nature of the wall's construction.

Try (as you are suggesting) the whole process "direct line of sight" - in the room with the router?

i will try. the point is that videos from the pc and from internet sources are working seamlessly.

i will get back with the music result when it sits next to the router.

the results are...
the pi showed blinking picture with a lot of distortions near the router connected to the tv and there was no sound besides the sound of the system (openelec).

very strange.
