If you try to connect via ssh from one linux machine to another, regardless whether it's a server or another linux machine, there is used a key to encrypt the ssh session.
Assuming you try to connect as root, go to the /root/.ssh folder. Here you'll find a file named known_hosts.
In this file, there is stored the ip address and the ssh-rsa key to encrypt the ssh connection.
It could happen, that the saved key is not valid, if something has changed at the client, that tries to connect.
So you can simply delete the known_hosts file and connect to that machine again.
You'll be asked, whether you accept the encryption key a.s.o. and get connected.

I tried by deleting the contents of the known_hosts file. But the error is the same.
