Get back to Halifax. If for some reason you cannot access your accounts then only Halifax can sort it out for you.

If they cannot sort the problem out, change your bank. HSBC is a whole lot better.

Hi Stuart I have been back to Halifax today and they have been no help at all they just said I should contact online help while I am sat in front of my computer and go through it with them. They call themselves a caring bank! thanks Stuart

That's why I moved to HSBC.

I spent about two hours this afternoon helping a friend set up on-line banking with Halifax on his computer. I have never seen such a palaver. When it came to the memorable question he put in 7 Dec 61. After trying to re-enter it it kept refusing it. A phone call to Halifax and a protracted conversation and for some unknown reason the date was changed from 7 Dec 61 to 61December07. Now work that one out.
