Hi, I just installing Windows XP on a HP Pavilion dv6721la and wireless network don’t work, everything else works fine.
When I turn on the PC, it informed me that at least one network is within reach, but when I see the list of detected networks, says there is none, I edited the settings and I check the box "Automatically connect to non-preferred networks (or some like that), finally, after reboot, the PC detects the network, and says getting the address, but the truth doesn’t ask me the key, and therefore doesn’t connect, also when I look in the list of detected networks it again says there is none.
What is the problem, how I can fix it?

First, look at the device manager. Are there any yellow or red marks next to network adapters?

How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.

If your wireless adapter driver does not work well, think you can download the driver on this HP website here.

If it works well, probably you can take a look on this wireless network troubleshooting tips article, hope able to help.
