Problem sending messages

Microsoft Outlook 2007
July 4, 2010 at 12:04:38
Specs: Windows XP
I use Microsoft Office Outlook on my laptop at home and at work, here it works fine both sending and receiving - but when I take the laptop other places and log on to their internet, it will only receive and not send messages, which makes it impossible to work when I am abroad or simply out and about. Does anyone know why that might be and how I can solve this?

When you are on "their internet" you may not be able to connect to "your" SMTP server. However, you should be able to send messages by "your" ISP's web mail page.

It doesn't allow me to do that either, which is what makes no sense. - Any idea if there's something I can have missed in the set-up or something

There is nothing to configure on a web mail page. So I don't think you missed anything there. Who's network are you using when that happens?

It works at work where it was set up and at home where I'm the only internet user, and everywhere else, clients, parents, abroad you name it - it can only receive and not send my messages.
