At my home network, the computers are as follows: 3 Windows 7
2 Windows XP
1 Windows 2000 ProThe Windows 2000 and XP Computers communicate fine with each other, but I have a problem when trying to connect the XPs to the Win 7 Computers. It will ask for a username and password when I try to connect to one Win 7 computers from an XP. Yet there are no passwords set on the Windows 7 Computers. Any Ideas?
PS: The specs are for one Windows XP computer.
Have you tried the Win7 HomeGroup Troubleshooter Wizard (In HomeGroup in Control Panel)? Also there's password protected sharing button under the advanced sharing settings that can be disabled I think. MOOOOooove! OH and you're welcome!
Thanks for the advice. I looked in the advanced homegroup settings and found that the password protection was on. So I changed it on one of the computers at least for now. Thanks for the help! If I have any more questions later on, I'll post them below.
