problem connecting to my wireless Network

Specs: Windows XP, 2gb
I have a hp 530 using xp+sp2, netgear wireless router, my laptop has stopped connecting to my network, other computers in the house can connect ok, can connect to my daughters network so not a hardware problem,can connect ok using ethernet. My laptop sees the network but wont connect, says out of range, deleted network in network manager so to reconect but wont allow me. Have system restored to several days ok also. Has me totally confused. Does anyone have any solutions

On yout wireless router try to change the channel used to broadcast the signal. Usually it is channel 6 by factory default. Set to 11 or 2 at the edge of allowed bandwith since sometime interference from other sources may hide the signal on the main channel.

Thanks , that solved the problem, channel used to be 1, reset to 6 several weeks ago, now 11, Still a bit confused why my machine gets affected but my old inspiron 1300 doesnt get affected.
