Specs: Windows Vista, 4GB
Hello

I had an idea but I wanted to know wheter it makes sense mixing two types of antennas in the same wireless device.

I wanted to lnow wether it does make any sense to replace only one of the two built-in omnidirectional antennas that come in a wireless range extender like the one in

www.dlink.com/DAP-1360

D-Link Wireless N Range Extender

with one powerful (high gain) directional antenna so that the wireless range extender can get to connect to a far away access point while being able to serve the internet request of those computers connected via wifi to this
wireless range extender.

Thanks

I've tried a few different types of antennas. I even tried a satellite dish. As I understand it, it may help with reception but not the signal that your router sends.
