Specs: Windows Vista
I am trying to open ports for Xbox Live and PS network. If i unhook my D-link router, and plug it in straight through the modem, using the static IP and port forwards i made, it works. But. If i plug in my router, its not forwarding the ports because it changes the IP and messes up my static IP i set up....can i please get some help on this matter...

"using the static IP and port forwards i made"

Um you don't make port forwards without a router nor do you make your own static internet ip.

First concept: port forwarding is inbound not outbound.
2nd concept: you don't assign an ip on the internet. It is assigned to you or for you [dhcp].

Very useful site here: http://portforward.com for this. It has
many models of routers, screen shots, applications etc.

Just another stupid saying...
