PC connectivity to internet failing

June 1, 2010 at 16:13:57
Specs: Windows XP
I have a netgear 2000 WIRELESS-N ROUTER WITH BUILT-IN DSL MODEM. Wireless is working perfectly but hardwired PCs are loosing the connection to internet randomly. This didn't happen before with the same configuration. I already checked physical cable continuity and is OK. Can this be a setting definition on the router configuration ?

It may not be the router. Leave 1 PC shutdown. If the problem continues, try another one.

Thanks for your response. Alredy tried with 2 PC cabled, and then with 3 PCs, but the issue persists. The only one that works (cabled) is the one next to the router, where the NetGear configuration SW is installed.

Yesterday I reset the router and entered all the definitions from cero. The issue persists.

If the problem is only happening with your Wireless Computers then chances are you are getting interference on the Wireless Channel you are on. Try changing the Wireless channel and see if it helps.
