Obtain IP address of person on message board

Specs: Windows XP
Is there anyway for me to find an IP address from a person who posts on a message board? I am pretty sure the same guy is using two screen names togo back and forth to try and prove his point.

You can contact the administrator of the message board and ask them. Other than than, there's nothing you can do.

Thats what you call a sock puppet. If you drop an Email to the administrator and tell him your suspicions he might do something about it. They are not very nice people.

I was involved in a forum last year where a sock puppet created havoc. They are down there with spammers, hackers and other low life as far as I am concerned.

As Curt says, there is nothing you can do about it except ignore him.

Forum Moderators have full access to Members IP addresses

They would easily see two same IPs replying to eachother (with different usernames)

I would suspect that would be close to a banning of at least one, possibly both member names.

Further to this, I see no reason for someone to do this (except as a nuisance)
Support replies are shown on their relevance to topic and expert knowledge on the subject, it does not need to be either backed up by others or proved correct or not.

The proof is in the single support reply post alone
