Specs: Windows 2008 r2
nslookup shows all ip addresses of a nic. is this expected? i think it should just show the default IP .please suggest

nslookup does not show ips of nic.

nslookup name
or
nslookup ip address shows the related dns info for each. Has nothing to do with your local nic except your local nic gives you access to the dns server.

perhaps you are confusing nslookup with netstat or ipconfig commands

i know that the nslookup just shows the entries in the DNS for a particular name of the server and the correspondign IP .

but all my server show only default ip address with the nslookup.

but a new server wihch win2k8 r2 shows all the ip addresses upon nslookup .please let me know if i am wrong anywhere .
