Specs: Windows XP, 256 MB
I am living in colony of a MiLL. Mill has a IT department,which connects compony through LAN and colony with Wlan.It is using proxy server and monitoring softwares(GFI WEB) and firewalls. I am at colony.I have wn422G wireless USB adaptor.Some time Internet explorer says that you are not connected to internet.And nothing pings then except my ip and 127.0.0.7.I am unable to resolve this. Network administrator says here is no problem.The access points are connected each other wirelessely and when i shutdown my nearer AP then net runs.But it also do same thing.In pinging it says request time out. How i resolve this?

WE are using internal ip's. Like IT department issued its own static IP's.

Internal IPs are fine. I see 2 possible problems. One is that your IP address is on a different subnet than the default gateway. Also you have an IPv4 address & the DNS entries are IPv6.

Now, I don't see any DNS at all. Compare your configuration with a machine that is working.

It happens some times but now it is running properly.why?weak signals?or other.

If it's running properly now, make a note of all your settings. The next time it stops compare the settings.

Issue resolved by increasing link quality and signals.By decreasing distance between adaptor and access point.
