Not recognizing wireless adapter...

Specs: Windows XP
Hi everyone,
So I am using a dell inspiron 600m. I have problems with the wireless Internet (well any Internet for that matter). It tell me that there is no supported wireless adapter. The weird thing about it is that if I reinstall windows (windows xp, sp3) and the drivers then it works. But the next day it has the same problem.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers.
Switching off all antivirus and firewall settings.
Checked Wlan status, is definitely on.
Excuse me for my non technical terms, I really don't know much about computers :)
Would appreciate the help

If your computer is still under warranty, contact the OEM's support people.

If it's not, get the model number and go to the OEM's website and look for newer drivers for your wireless interface. If there are newer drivers, download and install them and see if that doesn't fix the issue.

If there are no newere drivers, or newer ones don't fix the issue, your interface is likely experiencing a hardware failure and you'll have to replace it.

Its not under warranty any more, the laptop is pretty old.
I tried downloading and installing newer drivers, but the problem is the same.
What is so frustrating about the problem is, that if I reinstall windows it works, so I cant imagine it being a hardware problem. (Then when I restart later it stops working.)

Thanks for the answer Curt!
