A year ago I bought a netbook with XP installed on it. Until recently I had no problem to connect to a router wich is in the same building where I work. But recently installed Windows 7 and the problems started. During the working time I'm connected to the Internet but outside of these hours the connection gets interrupted. Troubleshooting shows me that the connection is lost behind the router (public network). The network adapter settings are the same as they were with XP. How to solve the problem avoiding any downgrade to XP? Tnx!
Maybe the wireless is disabled after work hours.
thank u 4 ur interest buddy!
"Maybe the wireless is disabled after work hours". was the first assumptions that went through my mind. But then we connected a similar netbook with XP installed on it, and havinng exactly the same settings (network adress filter and encription) it had no problem to connect.
Some routers allow selective access by time to different computers. Set by accessing computer address.
