New PC are unable to maintain WiFi connection

Specs: Any Win, XEON/1GB
Is it just me, or does there seem to be a problem with newer computers maintaining wireless connections with even slightly older wireless routers and access points. I've seen it in Dell and HP computers, even using wireless G. Older laptops don't seem to have a problem maintaining connections to the wireless routers, but newer ones and all-in-one desktops with built in wireless seems to have problems maintaining connections, mostly losing their IP address assignments. Anyone else notice this?

Nope, I've never noticed anything of the sort.

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.
