Hello All:

I have a wireless access point set up that has LAN side DHCP turned off. As it stands right now, when a computer connects to the access point - it picks up a public ip address from our ISP. We don't have access to the password for the APs - so I am looking for an alternative to give any computer that connects to the access point a local ip address. Ideally - I want to set up a DHCP server so that if a computer connects to that access point - it will go to the server and pick up and address as apposed to the ISP. I hope this makes sense. Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated!

I don't know how you can change the configuration if you don't have admin rights.

Secondly, I don't know why they wouldn't want you to have an internal IP in the first place. The fact that they are all external IPs doesn't sound right at all.

How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.
