The entire Network will run at the speed of the hardware, therefore one of the 4 Network Interfaces is running at 100mbps

What make and model is your router? Are there any additional network components (switches, for example) involved?

And what cables are you using - cat 5e, cat 6?

Cloudcentric it's incorrect to say if one is at 100mb so will the rest. Doesn't work like that.

kelvinyu have you tried going into the advanced properties on one of the nics and setting speed and duplex to 1000mb full duplex instead of auto?

That would be the first thing to try after checking the patch cable specs.

As wanderer says, mixed speeds on the network is no problem. My suspicion would be either that the router isn't gigabit or that you are using cat 5 cables, hence my request for more information.

I sometimes have problems with the NIC on my main PC switching down in speed after hibernation. Normally I need to recycle the power on the switch it is connected to. No idea why, but it's a very cheap Netgear gigabit switch
