Network sharing over WiFi?

March 15, 2010 at 01:34:28
Specs: Windows Vista
We have two desktops (1 win 7, 1 vista) connected via eternet, which are working fine when it comes to file sharing. Just got a new notebook (vista), and connected via WiFi - set it up the same as we did the desktops to the home network, but when trying to access its files from the desktop we are being prompted to enter a username and password. We have turned off password protected sharing, obviously, but cannot get it working.

Help, anyone?

I would leave the password protection. It protects your network if someone from the outside connects to your wifi.

Click on my name at the top of my response and read my "how-to" guide on "you try to connect to a share but are asked for a password"
