I am running Win7 on a desktop PC with a USB cable directly connected to my HP 4500 Officejet printer. The desktop PC prints fine as it is directly connected to the PC. However i have a wireless network, and use my Compaq Laptop (Vista)to create Word documents etc, but when i try to print i get a 'Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup' error.
I set the printer up as shared from the desktop PC.
If i uninstall the printer and re-install the Laptop can print.
But then when i go to print after a reboot of the Laptop, i again get the error. How can i fix the print error?
I tried connecting to the printer via Wireless instead of via Shared Printer, but i do not find it ont he wireless network.
