network connection issues

Lenovo Thinkpad g530 notebook

Specs: Windows XP
I have several Lenovo 3000 g530 laptops that belong to a domain. They were all working great. The wireless connection is good or they are plugged directly into the network, but recently I have had 4 that developed problems keeping their connection to the server, logging on to the domain, or they may have their connection to the server, but they cannot get on the internet. They have an IP address and they can be pinged. If you type in the IP address to a web page it will find it. Restarting doesn't do anything, disabling and enabling wireless or ethernet doesn't do anything. I have tried doing system restore but it says it can't. So far the only way I can correct the problem is to do a recovery from a machine that has been consistently working well. What could be causing these problems?
