Solved Network Adapters missing in device manager after formatting

August 5, 2012 at 07:01:57
Specs: Windows 7 , 4 gb

I just formatted my laptop and realized that the network adapter is missing from my device manager. When I checked with the troubleshooter, it said "Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter. If you have a network adapter, you will need to re-install the driver". What should i actually do ? I have acer aspire 5742 laptop. I downloaded Acer Aspire 5742 Wireless LAN Driver (Broadcom)
Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver 23.1 MB from into my usb and run the setup file. And restarted the computer. Still nothing has changed. It is not listed in my device manager.
Please let me know, is this not the right one. Wat shud i do? I went to acer support and got quite confused not knowing which one to download.
Plz reply asap. Thanks .

Always download the drivers from Acer Support, to find the hardware vendor in your system download/install/run HWINFO

ARM Devices the future. Windows have accepted the fact!
