Solved My Yahoo will not load on MAC, Win7 PC iphone Safari or FF

March 6, 2016 at 06:56:28
Specs: Macintosh
Not my problem.. I have a MAC and a PC and it will not load on either... Yahoo will but MY YAHOO will NOT. Any ideas?? OH... won't load on iPhone or iPad.. FireFox or FoxBrowser. This is a YAHOO ISSUE.. maybe in conjunction with FF But it would not load with Safari either. Safari works fine.. but cannot load My Yahoo. Worked fine until about 7 PM on March 5, 2016.

My Yahoo is experiencing a prolonged outage.

Don't know why previous poster says My Yahoo is suffering a prolonged outage - no evidence of that here.

"My Yahoo" front page (and all it's links) loads fine on my PC quick as a flash (just tried it), so there's nothing wrong with the website itself - absolutely nothing wrong at their end whatsoever.

Oh, and that's on Firefox too by the way.

So I would check things out with your ISP, see if they are having any issues.

Check your firewall too, may be blocking it, or may be your country authorities are blocking it.

It's not global, it's regional:

I posted this same problem yesterday. I was using IE 11 and couldn't access My Yahoo from any of my computers. I agree that this might have been a regional issue. I am in Connecticut. Unlike the folks here, I wasn't having any issues getting to My Yahoo from Firefox or from Edge. For me, it was strictly when I was using Internet Explorer. I naturally figured that the problem was between Yahoo and IE.

In my post, I may have stumbled upon a fix, or Yahoo may have finally resolved the problem, but either way, everything is working as of today. [3-6-16]

It may be working where you are, but there seems to be some serious problems elsewhere. I've not been able to access the page for 2+ days now. However (thankfully) Yahoo Mail doesn't seem to have a problem (at least for me), so I've not really missed it that much. I can use MyExcite for a homepage if need be...

EDIT: After looking around, I'm inclined to use Protopage to replace MyYahoo.

I am reluctantly using My MSN.. Protopage was too quirky when I tried to customize. I hope you all are right and it is regional. I am in FL and it has been down just about 24 hours. So I have another page... but MyYahoo really served my needs for basic news, weather and Market info... Yahoo could have been hacked.. who knows. One of the most insecure places on the web.
