My wireless router is invisible to only me

Specs: Windows 7
Hi, my wireless became invisible to my laptop for no obvious reason while I was working on it. I thought that router has broken but it seems to work fine for other laptop in the same room and for my blackberry.

My laptop can see other networks in area but not mine.

The problem is that we share wireless with this office and router itself is not accessible to me. They don't want to unplug it and the plug it again or reset because of the risk for office. But I think that would help. Doesn't seem to be my laptop's fault.

I have tried a number ip adressess to access router remotely but none of them work. Is there a program I could download to access it remotely? Also, I have no idea what kind of router it is. It says BT Fusion in its name.

Pls help??

Your first test would be to go to a wireless hot spot and see if you can see the network and connect.

Since all other devices work it points to your laptop as the source of the issue. Let's eliminate it first before moving onto the router.

I tried connecting to a public wifi and it worked.

My wireless was working one minute and then stopped the other when it happened 2 days ago. I wasn't doing anything unusual which suggests that laptop is fine. I am also in the same room as before therefore it's not the distance issue either.

After going to "start" -- "run" -- "cmd" -- "ipconfig/all" it shows me that adapter make is Atheros ar9285. It also provides IP address which is 192.168.178.66 but it doesn't go anywhere - only gives a blank page. What are the other ways to access it remotely?

Thank you!!

go to a pc that is connected to the router and do a ipconfig /all then post the results for review.
