My wifi suddendly doesnt work??

Specs: IOS
Okay so everyday i lay in the same spot in the same position on my bed and i get internet quite easily and i sometimes connect youtube to my tv. I live in a two story house and my bedroom is in the second floor while the router is in the first one. So today i wake up ant my wifi is connected but the internet was kinda bad but i just dismissed it thinking its because i put my head where i usually put my legs while sleeping but then i switched to where i always am and it got kinda worse. My tv wont connect and neither my phone but if i go downstairs close to the router (placed in the living roon which is right below my room) it works just fine again but then i go upstairs and its all f---ed up again. Sometimes it will say internet may not be available but i still get notifications from snapchat but i cant send any back its been like this the whole day. And the router has always been on that place and i didnt have trouble getting internet but idk why i have this problem now i didnt even change the routers place. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you rebooted the router?

Rebooting the router would also be my first step as well as rebooting al other devices (phone, laptop, tablet, tv, etc.) The TV will need to be unplugged for a couple of minutes and the power button pressed a couple of times to discharge the capacitors in it.

Reboot the router, upgrade the router's firmware, reboot the laptop, update the wi-fi drivers, scan the laptop for infections, etc.

You can try something like this:
https://www.newegg.com/p/1A7-0014-0...

It plugs into your router with ethernet and into a power outlet at one end and at the other end (in your room) you plug the other end into an outlet. This gives you very fast plug in ethernet in your room if you want it and Wifi for those devices or times when you don't want to plug in. You can plug in a laptop or TV and use the Wifi for tablet, phone, laptop, etc.
