My Pc wont recognise my Ethernet Connection

Specs: Windows XP, Sempron 1.67Ghz / 480mb
I have no ethernet connection showing in my internet connections.

I have a foxconn K7S741MG-6L motherboard. It was working fine but when I was forced to do a format recently I have no internet access.

Please Help

I have already checked my hardware in device manager but there is no Network Adapters even showing in the list.

You need to install the drivers for the device. If it's an onboard network interface, you should have drivers on the CD/DVD that came with the motherboard.

If you can't find the disk, you should be able to locate drivers on the motherboard manufacturer's website.

Yes I have already tried looking on the Foxconn website and there are no drivers listed fo myr Lan under my motherboard drivers. I have also looked elsewhere but all I seem to find are PCI drivers which are no good.

Find the spec's for your motherboard, it should list the network interface giving you make and model. You can google the NIC manufacturer's website and look for drivers there.

Worst comes to worst, if you have an open PCI slot, you could go to your local computer store and buy a PCI NIC and install it.
