Hello all,
I just recently bought a wireless adapter for my Laptop (dell) its a bit old but it has XP home edition. When installed my netgear wireless usb adapter it says it is connected to my newtork and it has a great connection but it will not let me go to any websites. If I go to facebook it gives me the login screen but then wont allow me any further. Youtube won't let me search videos, i basically cannot do anything with it and im not sure why it also rarely rarely lets me access ANY websites even when my connection is 100%, Please Help I know a very small ammount about this kind of thing! Thanks in advance.

Did you disable the laptop's wireless in the bios or is it disabled on the laptop itself?

Maybe your computer is not connected properly to wireless network, try to use this ping tool to troubleshoot the problem. You can also check out this wireless network troubleshooting tips article to get more ideas too.
