MSDSS on Windows 2003 server

Specs: Windows 2003
i managed to install MSDSS Microsoft directory service synchronization on windows 2003 enterprise edition service pack 2 , but everytime i try to run it gives me this msg " windows cannot find domain controller running microsoft directory service"

any clues? i have it installed on Windows 2003 enterprise edition , and yes its it is a domain controller

What is the server pointing to for DNS?

its pointing to it self , im running them on vmware , the server address is 192.168.0.1 and the dns 192.168.0.1

Do you have netware servers running in bindery mode [pre 4x]?

MSDSS supports nds. Are you sure the error isn't as follows?

Otherwise there is a pointer to your DC that is wrong would be my guess.
