Hi everyone. I'm new to this place and I hope someone
can help me with my question. Recently wimax (4g)
was brought to my area and i want to get service from
CLEAR internet. with their service you need to get a
new modem. so now i got the service, got the modem,,
etc. but now my old AT&T 4 enthernet port modem is
just laying around. it is a 2wire 2701hg-b. clear still
doesnt have wifi home modems, so i want internet on
my iphone ipad ipod laptop xbox etc. so there i am
wondering if i can make my at&t modem still useful and
use it as a router/hub. so i want to plug in the ethernet
cable from the clear modem into one of the four
existing ports in the at&t modem and then using the
at&t modem to make it broadcast wifi to my devices
and use the other ports for my home computer, without
have to waste money buying a router. Please it would
be nice if someone helped and gave a lot of details on
how to do this because i am not really good with all
these terms, so please dont use heavy computer
language but try to make me understand lolz. ANY
HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

You would connect to it and disable dhcp services as well as assigning it a ip address in your lan's subnet. Then attach it wired to the new modem. Then you would connect to it wired and configure the wireless.
