How do I program my internet to log off after a certain time please?

I'd look at how you get your ISP. If you have a modem see it's web based config to see if it has that feature. Otherwise your computer or even a soho router could be bypassed.

Are you trying to secure your system from children or what is this for?

No, as my internet service is metered I often forget to log off and then I am charged accordingly.

My best suggestion then is to put all your devices including the ac adapters on a power strip. When finished with your task shutdown the computer and turn off all with the power strip.

I might consider a good firewall solution and block every port and protocol that you don't need. Don't know what they charge you for. Wouldn't want to pay for malware and other packets.
