locating printer on network

Hewlett-packard Officejet 4500 all-in-on...
September 22, 2010 at 07:27:40
Specs: Windows XP, dell
I hooked up a printer to one of the computers in my office and all 12 locate the printer except one. The computer with issues is running on windows xp. The printer is an HP officejet 4500. If anyone has any idea on how to make this computer locate the printer that would be great!

Thanks

Share permissions?
Can you browse to the PC its shared from and see whats shared... the print should be visible - if so double click it.
If you cant browse to it, can you ping it? If not Im thinking DNS problems....

Thanks for the info, but I wasnt clear on one thing. The printer is hooked up to the network via ethernet cable not my computer. XP seems to be the only operating system that cant find it. Sorry for the mistake. Any ideas?

Thanks

Could try Apple's Bonjour for Windows:

you have a network printer yet for everyone else to print you need a computer on at all times.

That may work but doesn't make a lot of sense.
