Local Area Connection cannot detect the Ethernet cable

Specs: Windows 7
I uses to run my PC with an Ethernet Cable connected to the computer then a few moths later i switched to wireless, over the months I have tested the wireless card and has poor download speed and tried to switch back to normal cable put after switched my PC has stopped detecting the cable and does not do anything I tried dis plugging it over again and nothing. I tried to update it and nothing seems to work ? Additional information Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller

Hi Crawler12,

Are you getting the light on the ethernet cable once connected to the system?

Did you try updating the driver of the network card?

I would suggest you to try using a different Ethernet cable to ensure it is not an issue with the cable.

Also, check if the cable is properly connected to the modem.

If the cable is connected properly, try connecting the cable to a different Ethernet port on the modem.
