Specs: Windows XP
Help Please !!!!

I have a Samsung X60 laptop running XP.

I connect to a SFR wireless router. Several time each day I loose the network connection and have to reconnect bye selecting.
Open network Connection, Properties, Wireless connection and the selecting "Let windows control your wireless connections"
After this all is ok, sometimes for hours, then it will happen again. I cannot find what is causing this and no longer know what to look for. Has anyone else had the same problem? if so can you help me please.

Please not I have a sony notebook on the same net that never has this problem.

Many thanks
Dave

It happens again because you didn't disable the other software, so every time you reboot the other software starts. Disable it in msconfig, startup.

That was part of my query, I do not know what it is and I was hoping someone could advise me what I should be looking for. If I knew what it was it would not be a problem.

Look at the device manager under network adapters. One of them is the wireless adapter. Don't disable the adapter, don't let the software start.

No, not sorted, Have updated all drivers as recommended by Samsung. No software called Think Vantage. Have given up on it. just have to keep reconnecting.

Thanks all the same
