Specs: Windows 7
I have been using my laptop for a lot of hours in a day. I always power my computer off when it's not in use. Well, At times to keep from having to recharge the battery I'd leave it plugged in. Well, one night it needed charging and I left my laptop plugged in to charge all night. Now I can't get the laptop to power on. What should I do?

If it's still under warranty, contact the vendor about having it repaired. If it's not still under warranty, find a repair depot that deals with your brand and get it checked out.

It is possible your power adapter is the problem. Make sure it is firmly plugged in at the little box part in the middle of the power cord. Otherwise you need someone to test the voltage coming out of the power adapter they are $49 in Canada on average for a proper replacement, not sure where you are, but they are not crazy expensive if it is broke. I am thinking the adapter died, the battery died and now can't charge and all you have is a black screen. If the adapter passes it may be in the dc jack connection, not so cheap to fix sometimes or other things. Check the adapter, it's where to start. When looking for a replacement take the adapter and the laptop which has the specs for the adapter on the back, just in case.
