laptop on wireless can't access one of two wired computers

December 26, 2011 at 14:39:07
Specs: Windows 7, core2duo/1GB
very strange. 2 computers on wired ports, call them A and B, and a laptop on a wireless of a TP-LINK router; call it L. all running W7. all can access outside internet. all on same subnet, and SSID is correct. all are on Home network (but no HomeGroup is established). NONE can ping each other's IP !!!. Filezilla server is running on A, and both B and L CAN FTP to it with various clients. Now the problem: B cannot access FTP server running on L, and L cannot access FTP server running on B. and yes, firewalls are disabled on all three.
Any hint?

It seems the issue is with FTP or port 21 on L, both listening and trying to establish a connection to another server.

What are the error messages, if any, you receive on L and B when trying to establish FTP connections?

The fact that none of the computers can ping each other is strange. You mention the firewall being turned off on all three, however, is there are kind of security software (Norton, AVG...) on L that may be interfering with this connection?

Can A access the FTP server on L? And can L access the FTP server on A?
