Laptop can't find my wireless network

Acer Aspire 4535 notebook

Specs: Windows 7, 4 GB
I am unable to connect to our wireless network on my personal computer. All the other computers in the house are able to connect to the wireless network without any issues. My laptop doesn't recognize the wireless network so there is no option to connect to it. I'm not sure what the problem is or how to fix it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Is the wireless network card turned on by the button on you Notebook?
Refer the users manual to find the button to switch wireless on or off.

Everything seemed to be working fine so I did a little searching and discovered that one of the drivers somehow got deleted. I updated the driver and now the wireless is working again.
