Keep getting kicked off by router

Specs: Windows XP
OK so heres my problem:

My router at destination 2 (other home) for this computer randomly just kicks me off the net. when I'm on laptop on the same modem/router ip it does not do this.

Its not completely disconnecting from the modem its just coming up with every 5 mins " No Internet connection"

Iv tried restarting it disconnecting everything I can think of.

Now somebody told me its about me having a dynamic IP....If this is true how do I stop that (I don think that's true but ok....)

Wheither your ip is static or dynamic makes no difference in relationship to being kicked off the network. Ip is not the issue. If it was you would simply not get on at all.

You write that you have a pc and a laptop connected to the same router and only the pc gets kicked off.

You never mention HOW they are connected. Both wired? One wireless and one wired?
If you reboot the router does the connection to the pc stablize for awhile?

Answers are only as good as the information you provide.
