Intex lan card not installing

Specs: Windows XP
i brought a intex IT-584 lan card......

I had installed it on the motherboard....

The two diodes on the lan card are blinking.....

But I am not able to see the LOCAL AREA CONNECTION icon in the network connections.....

In the device manager it is showing ethernet controller with a quention mark below, i guess the driver is not installed correctly...

Even I tried to installthe driver with the cd, but still the problem is occuring....

Plz help me out....

You are correct.

In Device Manager, right click on the NIC and select "install driver" from the menu. Ensure you have the CD for the device in your CD-ROM. When requested to, browse to the folder that has the driver in it and click OK.

There's a very good chance the CD is designed to auto-run and do the install itself so give that a try first.

Thanks Sir,

As you told, I installed the driver setup, but still I cannot see the LOCAL AREA CONNECTION icon in the network connections folder. Do, I have to do something else.....
The diodes lights in the NIC are blinking....

If the NIC is showing up in Device Manager without the exclamation mark, that means it's installed correctly. If there is still an exclamation mark, it's still not installed correctly.

Once it's installed correctly, and working, you should see "Local Area Connection" in "My Network Places"

In Device manager it is showing ethernet controller with the yellow exclamation mark, but when I update the driver their it does not update it. Moreover, when I inserted the LAN DRIVER cd, it automatically installed the driver, which I can see in the ADD/REMOVE programs. Now, i don't know how to move forward. Kindly help me out sir...
