Internet keep disconnecting whenever my homephone rings.

Specs: Windows 7
Hey Everyone,

I have problem for my internet phone and computer internet. Whenever my phone rings the internet disconnect. Here is how my system connects...

Optimum online modem => router (airlink 4-ports) => My computer, Ooma Hub (internet phone), Apple AirPort Express Base Station, and other computer.

The thing i find it weird is all the other computer and apple airport did not get disconnect but my computer. Every time now whenever someone is using the phone i had to use my WiFi connection.

Do you have DSL filter on the phone line. You need one one every socket that has a phone connected to it. If you already have one, try re-placing it as they sometimes stop working.

i see but i use cable internet i thought cable does not need a filter? When i first got the ooma hub(internet phone) i didn't have this problem iam not sure why i have this now.

so i should just get a cable filter because i dont use dsl ?

You should not need a filter with cable. I would have your cable provider check out your installation and Modem. There is obviously some kind of interference going on.

Try removing the ooma hub & see if the problem goes away, at least that will narrow down the problem area.
