I would use a router & forget the second NIC.

You can enable this Internet Connection Sharing feature to share Internet, but the best way is to get a router to share Internet.

go to control panel, then network connections. Clock on "Set up
a home or small office network. There at a certain point you you
will find "Select a connection method."
For your host computer, choose "This computer connect directly
to the internet. blah blah blah..."
And in all your client computers, choose"This computer
connects to the internet through a residential gateway blah blah
blah....."
