Specs: Windows XP
Hi, I'm having a prolem with my pc, what happens is I am connected to the internet, and if I type in an IP address in my IE I can see all the pc's on the network, but as soon as I want to connect to a pc through my network places but clicking on view connections it gives me an error. Does anyone know what might have caused this, it worked perfectly before, but now it doesn't want to anymore. I have disabled by firewall and virus protection, but nothing helped.

What error do you receive when you attempt this? That info would help diagnose the problem.

It first takes about a minute to do something, it sort of hangs actually and then says,

"MSHOME is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact adminastrator to find out if you have access permissions.

The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available."

That is when I click on the view workgroup computers, and I have checked the workgroup name and pc's name that is all correct.

Check to make sure the other computers in the network aren't running the windows firewall and that you have the same workgroup name for all PC's.

If those are all good, I'd google some or all of that error message (for example: "MSHOME is not accessible. You might not have permission to use") and do some reading.
