I want to stealth my FTP ports. How?

I have just visited Steve Gibson's Shield Up site and I discovered that my FTP port is closed. This is not the best state since it can be discovered, noted, and pinged ad infinitum. I would like to make ports 20 and 21 invisible; to stealth them instead.

I am an absolute newbie, so, please do not assume that I know how to use your response if you do not mention any prerequisite steps that I must take prior to being able to act upon your offered solution.

Thanks!

If they are closed, what more do you want? No one can connect to them. Nothing else needs to be done.

This is not a true statement.

"This is not the best state since it can be discovered, noted, and pinged ad infinitum."

That would be the case if it was open not closed.

Load a software firewall and block ports would be your next step.
