I want to block some sites in my office sites such as facebook and also downloading from anysites

Don't let them anywhere near a PC then, or disconnect there internet connection. I can't see any other way to stop them downloading.

windows>system32>driver>etc>host file open in notepad
at the bottom edit in new line

127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com
127.0.0.1 www.abc.com

Blocking downloads is a bit more difficult than just blocking specific websites. You may need to install parental control software ( for example http://www.allowblock.com/help.html ) on each computer.

To block websites, I believe the simplest way is to block certain domains in your router.
However, blocking downloading is not so easy. You need a network web filtering program which supports web content-type filtering.

WFilter
untangle
websense
