Specs: Windows 10
I have a wireless network at home and when I try to connect to one of the other computers on the network, it is not seen on the network. If I turn off the firewall on the laptop I am trying to access, it appears.
How can I access this laptop without turning off the firewall.

Access files? Remote desktop?

For general home networking where file sharing is most important, I generally recommend creating one or more folders on each computer and designate those folders as share folders (see link above). Then you drop files you want to share into the folder and it is accessible on all other computers on your network. This also allows for privacy and security for all of your other files. If you put in only copies of files then you are also protecting the original copies as well. Note that if you keep too many duplicates then you may run short on drive space so keep it clean except on those frequently used by all.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
