How to tell user to stop watching porn.

Specs: Windows 7
I'm in Afghanistan, governing a huge network. Although our usage policy clearly states NO PORN, i'm still catching users watching porn. I'm to the point where i'm going to start shunning mac addresses. Before I do that I would like to first send them a message, like Net Send used to do, warning them to stop.

If you have an "appropriate use" policy that clearly states it's against policy to surf porn, and the user has signed a form stating they've read, and understood the policy, then you should fire a couple of people surfing porn and then the rest will stop.

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.

What kind of network setup do you have Damian?

IMHO - You don't ask ppl to do anything! YOU, the purveyor of the network, Internet access, the PCs & Servers (if applicable) and any sensitive data that you oversee have to lock everything down appropriately otherwise end users (a.k.a. end ABUSERS) will, in the words of the late great Bon Scott of AC/DC fame will ..."Walk ALL OVER you..."

Nip it in the butt. There are a whole host of ways to filter Internet access. The best way depends on how your network is setup though.

MOOOOooove! OH and you're welcome!
