how to subnet within a subnet

Specs: Windows XP
i'm doing a project for my networking class and i need to know how to do subnetting within a subnet. it's a network with three routers, each of them being on their own subnet, but there are multiple departments for a store that each will have their own subnet (sales, management, warehouse, etc.) within the network subnet. can anyone direct me to a site or explain how to do this?

I would suggest reviewing the definations of subnet

subnet - a ip range usually referred by Class A, B and C subnets
to subnet - divide a subnet into smaller pieces
to supernet - to combine subnets into larger pieces

You are taking an existing subnet and dividing it into smaller pieces.

There is a wealth of info on the web. I would suggest your first search be on the string How to subnet. Best of luck

Ok here is a question;
I have 192.168.0.1 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0
I want 4 networks out of this.

How would you approach this?

At the bottom line, you have no idea on howto subnet.
Have you read the PDF file, which explains, howto subnet networks?
