|I have D-Link 803 router and a Vu+ Duo2 receiver which connects through wifi. I use IP forwarding to watch recorded videos from the receiver to a tablet outside my home network. This works well, however, when I move to the home network, the streaming program doesnt work anymore. I have to enter the local receiver IP (192.168.1.19) in the streaming program to be able to connect to the receiver from the tablet at home. |
I used to have a Linksys 2500 router and I did the same thing with it. But when moving from outside to inside network I could still watch the receiver from inside network using the outside IP and didnt need to switch to the local IP in the same streaming program. What is the secret settings that allow linksys to use outside IP for both in and outside network while doesnt allow the D-Link to do the same? Don't tell me to ask D-Link because they never replied to my inquiries.
