|mmm - model of printer would be useful - as some (not all) Canon (and other make) printers come with built-in wifi adapter as standard. Is yours one with wifi adapter built-i - or is it ethernet (cat-5) connection? Whichever it is it will also be usb as well - which is often how one initially sets up the printer to a network (install drivers etc.).|
If it doesn't have built-in wifi options then you will need an access router that has wifi as well as ethernet/cat-5 connections. (Or a modem connected to a router that has wifi capability.)
Also most current Canon (and other) printers that are wifi fitted will include a "wizard" routine in the accompanying software packages to help you connect it; and usually a similar "wizard" for ethernet/cat-5 connections too..
So - what model is it?
Then pholks here can help you with more detailed info/help...
